Autonomous Car

The Stanford Vision and Learning Lab is looking for research-oriented students and research assistants for autonomous driving projects. Each project requires different specialties and can lead to strong publications. The projects will last for 6 months (summer, fall), but can be extended if the applicant shows interest in long-term research collaboration. The candidates will work closely with senior Ph.D. students and experienced research scientists.

Project 1: 3D Sensor Fusion for the Stanford Autonomous Car Platform

The applicant must know basic multi-view geometry and the prerequisites are

Project 2: Semantic Scene Understanding

The applicant must be fluent in python and must be able to understand/write a simple CUDA program. The projects require basic knowledge of the Convolutional Neural Network, basic probability and linear algebra, and prior experience on CUDA and python programming. CS228: Probabilistic Graphical Model or equivalent experience and any programming examples that show your experience on CUDA would be a plus. The prerequisites are

Project 3: Research Opportunity

Even if you are not interested in the above-mentioned projects but interested in working in the lab, please let us know! We are always looking for self-motivated students.
